Movember 30 - The end of the mo →
I’m happy with my progress for Movember, having raised money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand by simply removing my goatee and growing a moustache. I will be happy to remove the mo on Sunday, and restore my face to its usual goatee-covered state. I expect that I will do the same again next year. The shape I grew this year was seen on a lot of faces, so next year I miight...
Movember 28 - Beige Brigade →
Wearing the Beige Brigade shirt I bought for Movember 2006.
The Nerd Handbook →
And your nerd says, “Cool”.
I stumbled across The Nerd Handbook on Friday. The author is one of the speakers of Webstock ‘08.
I passed it on to the Petenic. He said it explained a lot. I did too. I read further and discovered that I have NADD and that when I have the laptop on the couch I’m in The Place but not in The Zone. To be in The Zone I need to be in The Cave.

Movember 23 - Interpretive Dance →
Not the best photo. I could try to describe things through interpretive dance but I’ve feeling a bit stressed. Between having some loser damage my lock failing to break into my car, Jack throwing up on my bed Tuesday night, Jack sick today, planning for a party next week, and other parts of my life, yes, I’ve been feeling a bit stressed.
Movember 22 - Concrete Jungle →
I have my new glasses and things are clearer. I’d been wearing the old, scratched pair, much longer than I should have.
Movember 20 - Fish Tank →
Wearing my Threadless Fish tank t-shirt. It feels like it’s been a long day at work, and I’m out tonight playing in a Ptolus campaign
Movember 18 - Coke Zero on the patio →
It’s a gorgeous day today, with only wispy clouds in the sky. The sun was too bright to take this photo comfortably.
The $8 billion story/scam - Gift Cards →
I’ve happily made use of gift cards, they’ve been for stores I’d normally spend money in. A couple of years ago it took me some time to use some Whitcoulls vouchers, eventually going toward a gift for someone else. Seth Godwin explains why they are not a good idea. A card that doesn’t get used, or not completely used leaves money in someone’s pocket, and...
New slippers →
I now have a pair of Illuminating Car Slippers. The headlights are motion sensitive and come on whenever I move. They are part of my farewell gift from my last job, but they arrive after I moved from Auckland.
Movember 14 - Green New York →
Movember 13 →
Starting to get odd looks. Is that good or bad?
Mutiny →
Frazz is a great comic. I get it emailed to me daily.
Movember 10 →
Some progress visible. Wearing my new Piggy Bank Heist t-shirt.
Facebook News Network →
If only all the news was like this.
No progress reports →
The camera in my phone is acting up, and I can’t save photos when I take them. My main camera has a flat battery which compounds the problem.
Movember 07 - Boombox Spirits →
Maybe I should bike to work tomorrow →
I’d have a good appetite for a free breakfast from Kellogg’s.
Movember 06 - Haikus are easy →
The t-shirt says:
Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don’t make sense
Refrigerator
Movember 05 - The shadow appears →
Shaved and shaped. The shadow of the moustache to come can now be seen.
Lolcats do Shadow Footprints →
It seems the LOLcats like my site. Check out what they have done.
Movember 04 →
Lots of stubble. Shaving and shaping tomorrow.
JkDefrag running in the background.
MySpace Personified →
Myspace is a bit garish.
Movember 03 →
Unshaven, sitting in my car waiting to get my Warrant of Fitness.
Social Media →
Darren Barefoot has created a nice looking graphic based on the one in Scoble’s video. (See the video on Darren’s page.)
I’ve socilaed on have of the media, and learned about ones I hadn’t heard about before.
Movember 02 →
One day of stubble. Nothing to see yet
